Cross Country Skiing

With over 688-acres of land to explore, we invite you to join us to experience all that Métis Crossing has to offer on cross country skis. Métis Crossing was established as a place for Métis people to share Métis stories, and an essential element of our story is our relationship with the land.  

As you embark on our cross country ski trails you will inevitably be struck by thoughts of the history of this place and the traditional river lot farms we inhabit. As you glide the archery loop along the Northern Saskatchewan River, you will be summoned by visions of the paddles of our ancestral voyagers as they were arriving on these very riverbanks. Weaving through the forested horse bridge trail, you will marvel at the majesty of the Percheron horses. These trails are steeped in history and are the perfect place to reflect while getting your heart pumping. 

Our trails are groomed and trail set, allowing for a smooth and enjoyable experience. The Métis Crossing trails are short and interconnected, meaning you won’t have to choose just one, try them all! With minimal elevation gains or losses, the trails at Métis Crossing are perfect for all levels of experience.
