Wall Pocket Workshop
In the mid 1800’s Métis women created decorative Wall
pockets to store small household or personal items as well as
to provide bright color to decorate their homes.
Resourcefully, they used a variety of materials including wool,
birchbark or leather, and decorated their Wall pockets with beautiful
beadwork, embroidery and porcupine quills.
Instruction will include an introduction to embroidery, ribbon
embroidery and wool tufting.
