Moss Bags Workshop – Saturday, March 13, 2021
Moss Bags are the decorated ways to securely wrap a baby,
which was and still is an important child-rearing tool for
Métis families. They can be simple to elaborately decorated,
depending on the use and family tradition.
In this workshop participants will make one Moss Bag, receive
teachings on how to use them, and learn some durable and washable
Participants will need to bring a sewing machine and should be
proficient in the use of their machine.
