Gauntlets or Métis Mittens – Sunday, January 9, 2022

Métis mittens or gauntlets are extended gloves and were essential winter clothing for the Métis. These were extensively beaded and decorated with ribbons. Gauntlets or Métis mittens were typically lined with fur for added warmth. 

This workshop will provide you with instruction for making your own Métis mittens or gauntlets.
