MC CGX Corporate Package

July 10, 2023

Métis Crossing is the first major Métis cultural interpretive centre in Alberta and is a premier centre for Alberta Métis cultural interpretation, education, gatherings, and business development. We are pleased to offer the ability to host your large event. Our Cultural Gathering Centre is the perfect place to host a corporate meeting, team building activity, or a unique celebration.

Cultural Immersion

Métis Crossing is a place for Métis people to share our distinct Indigenous Story with the world, and a place for everyone to visit to reflect and reconnect with their own personal story. By hosting your corporate retreat or event here, you set the stage for a day of learning on historical Métis land.

Sitting on 688-acres of land, comprised of river lot titles from the original Métis settlers to the region in the late 1800s, the Crossing is designed to engage and excite visitors through an exploration of Métis cultural experiences. The surroundings will be the perfect place for your attendees to stretch their legs during breaks.

During your time at Métis Crossing, you can indulge in our Métis-inspired prepared by our expert chefs. We proudly feature premium, locally sourced bison, and seasonal produce at Métis Crossing. You can also further immerse your guests in the experience with our wide variety of accommodation options – from outdoor campsites to our boutique lodge, we have something to fit every need and preference.

Cutting-Edge Facilities

Our brand-new, state of the art Cultural Gathering Centre includes modern and functional technology, ensuring your training or presentation will be seamless. Our cutting-edge technology connects you around the world through our wireless connection. It is the perfect place for Indigenous training or other workshops your company may be putting on for staff.

Our Cultural Gathering Centre Main Hall and Classroom include AV and Visual technological systems. This includes projectors and audio/video systems/equipment, with seating for up to 200 people (moon shape seating). Additionally, our Rupertsland Classroom can seat up to 30 people (u-shape) and 40 (classroom shape). This space includes a smart TV, live streaming capabilities and audio. White boards are also available for planning sessions.

The Cultural Gathering Centre is designed by Métis Architect Tiffany Shaw-Collinge from Manasc Isaac Architects. The new centre incorporates traditional craftsmanship with modern materials to create a stunning structure that hints at the building style of the fur trade era river lot homes with the functionality of a contemporary place to gather, learn, and share the Métis story.
