Métis Crossing, a leading Aboriginal Interpretive centre in Smoky Lake Alberta, is looking to hire some dynamic staff to become an important part of our Métis Crossing team.

We are looking for:

Program Coordinator - Full time position responsible for
staffing and program development and implication.

Cultural Interpreters - These are seasonal positions
responsible to deliver the educational and interpretive programs. Training provided.
- required for March 2010

Zip Course Guides - These positions are responsible for the
Safe operation of our new zip lines, enforcement of safety rules and rental and adjustments of equipment. Training will be provided
- required for March 2010

Volunteer Opportunities

Métis Crossing hosts two major events each season. Each event becomes more successful with the addition of a team of enthusiastic individuals to volunteer. Opportunities include:

  • Children's activities, arts and crafts
  • Assisting Artisans and Crafters with their demonstrations
  • Set up and Take down
  • And many more...

Longer term volunteer opportunities also exist with "Program and Event Committees" responsible for the overall planning of the on-going programs and events at Métis Crossing.

Giftshop Consignment

Métis Crossing is expanding our gift shop! We are looking to consign various "Métis Made" items for sale - music, arts, crafts, etc.
